For those of you who know us: What´s new in Bernie´s Family?

This is our annual retrospect for 2005:

Concerning Ulrike and myself there are actually no real news. Everything is fine and we are doing well.  Ulrike still works for the German Red Cross Organization and takes care of old people. It took her some time to overcome  my accident and the hospital visit - but she still has a lot of patience with me.

Immenstaad is a nice place for taking a walk along the lake - Ulrike really enjoys living at the lake a lot.

For me the year 2005 began in hospital and it has been dominated by visits to physicians and medical treatment.  Today -almost 1 year after the heavy skiing accident - I have recovered almost completely. I even started mountainbiking again in September and recently went skiing.
With some kind of humor one could say: I have never been that valuable before, because of the 10 inch
 titanium plate and a dozen of screws in my body!

I am still working for the same company ( EADS) in the same position  and have developed some kind of resistability against organisational changes. Despite of my break (being on-line from at home) I have cosumed more airline miles than ever before during 2005. But as you can imagine, I always found some positive aspects. If you have a look at my travel pages you will understand.

Isabel is head of the Immenstaad Touristic Center and is going to college in her off duty times.

Daniel is still working as Operations Officer in Communications.

2005 has brought some significant changes to Miriam and Martin: After 8 years Miriam has moved from Stuttgart back into our area to live toigether with Martin at Markdorf (Appr. 5 miles from Immenstaaad). I really like that: 1^st because she is really happy now and 2^nd because she is much closer to our place now.

Miriam found a similar job here as before and still cares for families who are in social trouble.

Christian is still going to the Tübingen University studying Philosophy, now in the 11^th semester. He is very enthusiastic in his studies but is still keeping secret his future career plans.

I am not going to publish a separate annual retrospect of Immenstaad because most events of Immenstaad have been posted on the net before (-->click here).

Instead, you will get a couple of shots to explain why we are "Feeling good at the Lake of Constance". This is our commercial written on the sign below in German "Wohlfühlen am Bodensee":

Markus and hi pub "Timmi´s" (just 500 ft distance from our home) are sure one of the factors why we are feeling good here !
